The new Street Fighter/Dragon Ball Z Final Fantasy game is out 8/25/09 and it looks as if it’s is impressive. But it does have one drawback, it’s only for the PSP, which I think is a wrong move. If they would keep it for PS2, PS3 and PSP then that would be so much better.
To be able to play as Cloud with a huge ass sword in a fighter style game would just be bad ass!!! But unfortunately I don’t have a PSP nor will I ever have one. Final Fantasy 7 was what got me into the Final Fantasy series and I will always say it is my personal favorite.
This game has kind of a Smash Bros feel to it by building Bravery Points and depleting your opponent’s health. This is sort of like the Smash Bros where you build up strength to be down your opponents.
Reading an article on the game, the controls seem to be pretty straight forward and easy to understand. Though I really wonder if they went in depth and included moves such as Limit Breaks and stuff like that…or Summons.
Interestingly enough there is a story mode to this game. You can take your character out and level them up and go back to arcade mode.
Just by reading this article, this game does seem promising, but it is a shame that it is limited to one platform and that I probably won’t ever play it due to that.

Great looking game. I’m a little disappointed as well, but thats how companies sell systems. Find a game that people want and tell everyone “Haha you cant have it till you buy this as well!!”
Along those lines I’m purchasing Batman Arkham Asylum for the ps3 which has exclusive content of getting to play as The Joker. How awesome is that?!?!
Yeah, a co-worker of mine just got it on the weekend and says that it is pretty sweet…to bad I’ve fallen behind on keeping up with consoles :(
I saw on the trailer some characters from final fantasy 6 which is cool but they made kafka to clowny.
