Ed Pearson owner of Victory 21 #427 "Pteropod" writes about Hoisting a Victory
Point the boat into the wind. This isn't always easy; the boat won't turn readily because it's not "under way" (moving). Do the best
you can. The idea is to raise the sail while it will give the least resistance, ie. minimum tension, with the sail straight back. With the
sail in this position, it also won't be snagging on any shrouds or any other hardware.
