History

Hi, I'm Daniel Trotter, and I am a Web/Graphic Designer/Producer. Currently, I work for WTSP (CBS Channel 10) in St. Petersburg, FL.

My interest in and study of design began when I was a freshman in high school thanks to the encouragement and dedication of one very influential teacher. I excelled in my design classes and continued to pursue design as a Multimedia major at Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. There I studied mainly graphic design, while also working to develop my 3-D animation skills. In addition to my academic endeavors, I played two years for the Bradley Braves baseball team as a relief pitcher and found that experience greatly contributed to both my overall work ethic and my understanding of team work. I graduated in four years with a Bachelors of Science and a Major in Multimedia.

Now in the work force, I have adapted my professional skills to include web design and creation. I currently develop, design and help manage web sites in addition to my full-time professional position (See my work examples).

I consider myself a hardworking, creative, knowledgeable person capable of quickly adapting to and contributing to almost any working environment. In addition, I have committed to furthering my skills by taking classes in my field. I strongly feel that this contributes to my current knowledge base and helps me maintain a continued understanding of technological advances in my field.I am currently taking classes in Java programming and have been acquiring additional skills in JQuery. I have plans to learn PHP and ASP.NET.
